Printing can be done from roll to roll across the entire width of the fabric. But a more economical option is to print on cut details, especially in cases where the pattern is applied to one piece of clothing or is located in the middle, since the cost of such images directly depends on the area to be printed.
Only white or light fabric is suitable for sublimation; the pattern on darker surfaces will turn out to be low-contrast and distorted.
Sublimation is used for the production of women's light clothing (dresses, blouses, suits), swimwear and underwear, raincoats, jackets, sportswear. It is the main printing method for curtains, tablecloths, bedspreads, throw pillows and other home decor items. This is the peculiarity of printing on fabric.
Unfortunately, this printing method is not applicable for drawing patterns on natural fabrics. Even if it is possible to transfer the image to the fabric, then at the very first wash only a faint mark will remain from it. For such fabrics, direct digital or screen printing are used.
